FAQ for Alterations Shop

You will need an appointment for wedding dresses, pageant dresses, Quinceanera dresses, and Irish dance dresses. All other types of alterations can walk-in! Mother of the bride/groom and prom dress alterations do not need an appointment. If we are altering a floor-length dress, make sure to bring your shoes!

Our normal turnaround for alterations is 1 week.

We do offer express service for jobs done in less than a week. The express fee is a percentage based on the day you need it by.

For floor-length dresses, please bring your shoes!

Absolutely! We are a full-service alterations shop.

We recommend starting bridal alterations 3-4 months before your wedding day. Please call or submit an online appointment request several months before that point in order to get on our schedule.

Alterations cost is based on an estimate of time. Plan to budget $600-$1,000 for basic alterations and $1,000-$1,500 for more custom alterations.

Please include your phone number we can reach you at if we have any questions. We will respond with our price estimate back to you through email. We will try to be as accurate as possible but please understand that pictures do not always reflect everything.

Yes, we do. We offer in-person consultations for wedding dress alterations. The cost is $150 and your appointment would be 45 minutes with Tang, discussing what alterations you believe are needed and receiving a price quote for those alterations. We also offer free consultations over email. Send 2 full length pictures of you in your wedding dress, front and back, with a list of alterations you believe are needed and Tang will respond with a price quote.
